Abba Father
Galatians 4:6
And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.”
I have been slowly working my way through a book called, “The Heart Of A Warrior.” I say slowly because I read a few pages then have to contemplate all I just read. The concepts are too vital to rush through!
Here is what I have learned so far: God loves me. Earth shaking, right? “Jerry, you have a brilliant grasp on the obvious.”
But “God loves me” means so much more! I am his beloved son. He loves me fully, completely, and without reservation. He is my “Abba Father.”
Abba Father denotes an intimacy that God has for us, and offers to us. God’s love is a personal love, and it is unabashedly complete! Unfortunately, we listen to the lies of the devil and the world. Lies that make us feel unworthy or like God’s love is conditional. It’s not!
Lean into God’s love. Take some time to ask God what lies you have believed about yourself that keep you from fully embracing your “Abba Father.”
It’s a wild ride, and you will never be the same!
