Lamentations 3:21-24 Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
Immanuel Kant said that there are three questions that everyone asks:
"What can I know?"
"What shall I do?"
"For what shall I hope?"
Today’s passage from Lamentations answers the final question for us. As followers of Christ, we find our hope in the love, mercies, and faithfulness of God. To quote the hymn,
“My faith is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
Friends will fail you. Family will fail you. People will fail you. The government will fail you. Our hope is built on the simple fact that God will NEVER fail us!
