Psalms 30:11-12 You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!
We have all been through it. A time in our lives when things were just going lousy, a real dumpster fire. For some, it might be financial trouble, or health issues, maybe relationship issues.
Then, life got better. God took you through the dumpster fire and instead of being crushed, you were refined. The fire that you were sure was going to consume you purified your heart instead. You not only survived, you thrived.
Romans 5:3-5 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Now what? Give God glory! Sing His praises, share with others what God has done in you as a result of your troubles. And if you are in the middle of trouble, get ready, because God is doing something in you and for you.
Just don’t be silent! Sing it, say it, proclaim it! Let others know of God’s grace. Turn your mourning into dancing!
