Acts 2:21
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Before we start this devotional, let’s define a very important word. Dictionary.com says that “everyone” means, and I quote, “every person; everybody.” That seems pretty definitive.
Every person. Not some, not just a select few, every person. That includes you, me, and your next-door neighbor that plays his music too loud. It includes your weird Uncle Milton, and your strange Aunt Hortence.
Every person includes people in different countries, even ones we don’t like, or think it should include.
Every person goes beyond nations, ethnicities, boundaries and borders.
God sent his only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for Every person. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
That’s it: the simplicity of the Gospel. Jesus came to save the world because God was not willing to let everyone die in their sins. All you have to do is believe in Him and call on Him.
Every person, especially you.
