Revelation 1:7
Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!
CNN, MSNBC, BBC, and Fox News will all carry the news live. They zoom in on the serious looking anchorman who says, “Strange happenings today as the entire world all saw the same blinding light in the skies above…” The video will show an impossibly bright light piercing the darkness, and at once, everybody looks up to see what it is. Some in the crowd begin rejoicing, others start weeping, and some start the low mourning tones that can only come from a deep loss or sorrow. One thing that will be true across the board: The light piercing the clouds is Jesus.
People who are Christ followers will immediately recognize their Savior, and will rejoice! They have been looking forward to this day, and they are ready.
People who rejected Him will now see Him face to face. They will look into the face of the one who died for them, and they will realize what a mistake they have made. Weeping and moaning will follow as they understand what they have done.
This terrible, awful, amazing and joyful day is coming. We don’t know when, so we must be prepared and stay prepared. Your reaction on the day of Christ’s return is being prepared now by your rejection or acceptance of Him. What do you choose?
