Luke 17:26-27
“When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all.
What a great party! That moron, Noah, has been really trying harsh our mellow by talking about doom and destruction. He has complained and tried to scare us for years while he tries to build a huge boat. A boat? Out here? Dude, we’re miles and miles from the nearest place you can launch any boat, let alone that monstrosity you built. Big waste of wood, if you ask me…
We’re in the fourth day of the party and the Coke Zero and Doritos show no signs of giving out! I need more guacamole, dude…
I can’t believe that this rager is still going after seven days. More sodas and food just keep showing up, so we keep chowing down and partying. Remember that weird dude, Noah? He must be starting a zoo or something, because tons of animals started showing up and walking into his boat. Excuse me, ark, he calls it. Whatever, Zookeeper Noah! That dude has got some serious issues.
I just watched a crowd of people almost take Noah out! He came over to the party, which is still going strong, by the way, and told us “God is going to shut the door, come with me if you want to live!” Um, no, dude. Can you imagine the smell inside that boat, I mean ark? All those animals gotta go poo somewhere. He said God is going to make it rain. Sure, dude, there’s not a cloud in the sky. We chased him back to his boat!
As the door closed I feel the first raindrop. That’s weird. Now it is raining pretty hard. You don’t think Noah was right, do you? Nah! Hey, I wonder if Doritos float…
