Pride that kills…

Esther 3:10
The king agreed, confirming his decision by removing his signet ring from his finger and giving it to Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews.

Today’s verse may be obscure, but it warns us about the downfall that pride brings.

It was Hamann’s pride that led to his avarice and sin. Before he took the step that sealed his fate, Haman was just Haman.

Once he decreed that God’s people should all die he was referred to as “the enemy of the Jews.”

How many times has pride led us to sin, which led us to our downfall? Put away your pride and let humility be your go-to way of life.
