1 Peter 2:12 Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.
Even though I am less than a year from Medicare, in many ways I am still a kid. I can still get excited by comic book character movies and Hot Wheels.
My favorite comic book characters growing up were Batman and Iron Man. Both of these superheroes endured tragedies in their lives and decided to help others. Very admirable.
SPOILER ALERT: Batman was really Bruce Wayne. Iron Man was really Tony Stark. Both men hid their identities and their missions from other people. The world was not supposed to know who they really were. Superman was the exact opposite. He was from Krypton and hid who he really was when he put on his glasses and became Clark Kent.
As Christians, we are not supposed to have alter-egos. We are supposed to be loud and proud about who we really are. We are followers of Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
We are called to live our lives holy and blameless so when the world tries to discredit us and our faith, they don’t have a leg to stand on. Quit hiding who you really are! God has given you peace, joy and strength as your super powers, use them for good! And for crying out loud, don’t be like Superman and wear your undies on the outside…
