Some day…
Acts 24:25. As he reasoned with them about righteousness and self-control and the coming day of judgment, Felix became frightened. “Go away for now,” he replied. “When it is more convenient, I’ll call for you again.”
Felix wanted to hear about Jesus, so Paul was summoned from prison to talk to him. Paul shared the message of Christ, and it scared Felix!
So Felix sent Paul away, saying that he would call for Paul later.
Felix faced a choice. He could accept the message of Christ and be changed, or he could reject the message and remain the same. He thought that he would make a choice later, when it was more convenient. In doing so, he made his choice whether he knew it or not.
Felix chose the status quo over salvation. He chose fear over faith. He chose eternal death over eternal life.
Make no mistake about it, every day you do not choose to follow Christ you have chosen against him. There is no middle ground, no “safe zone.” You’re either in or out. Sure, you may get a chance to choose tomorrow, but you have no guarantee tomorrow will come.
Choose wisely…
