Galatians 5:17
The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
There is a giant game of tug-of-war raging in your life right now.
On one side, you have the life that God is calling you to. It is full of life, light, and good things.
On the other side, you have your flesh, and all of the evils man can do to himself and to others.
Which side are you on?
This battle is not left to chance, and it doesn’t let up. Every day we must make the spiritual choice to choose God. We choose grace over anger, joy over suffering, and peace over turmoil. Each moment we must choose living for God and all his benefits, or living for ourselves and paying the consequences.
Which side are you on?
