Romans 10:9
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Let’s start this off with an easy question. Do you believe God can save you? Hopefully, your answer is yes.
Do you believe God can save your lazy neighbor who gets trash all over your yard? Hopefully, your answer is yes.
Do you believe God can save (insert your least favorite politician here)? Hopefully, your answer is yes.
Do you believe God could have saved Adolph Hitler, or Idi Amin, or Jack the Ripper? Hopefully, your answer is yes.
It got tough toward the end, didn’t it? It doesn’t matter how bad a person has been, our verse today says they can be saved.
And yes, that includes you!
Christianity has made salvation seem so hard to attain, but it’s really not. Profess Christ, and that you believe he has risen from the dead. That’s it. No magic words, no mumbo jumbo. Profess Christ and his resurrection.
Like a baby being born, you have a fresh slate with God! There are steps that follow: find a church where you can grow in your newfound faith, start talking to God on a regular basis, and read your Bible so you can learn all about Him.
But it all starts with professing Christ. I don’t care how bad you think you have been. Come to God today and let Him show you what life is about!
